from Benita Galland

Yesterday the F & G planted 650 pounds of little chinook. Hopefully they will grow into lots of "Big Ones" for our future fishery.

Plans and planning is underway for the upcoming derbies. The Members Derby on June 20th and 21st should be a great fishing weekend. Remember there is a free picnic lunch at Carlin Bay on Sunday and prizes for all kids who participate....fish or no fish in the boat. I wish I was able to fish on a youth ticket!

We need help finding sponsors for the Big One Derby. The cash purses and prizes depend on the sponsors and things are not looking to hot in that department. If you can or know of anyone else who can run a sponsor ad in our Newsletter please let me know and I will help you with all the details involved. It will be a great derby....we just need more help from our members.
